UGANDA
The Precious Souls Ministry shares the love of Jesus in rural Uganda to widows and families living in extreme poverty and ravaged by HIV/AIDS. The ministry provides shelter and support to orphans; gives gifts, lanterns, goats and mattresses to the needy; repairs dilapidated homes; supports educational opportunities; and distributes needed medical supplies. Precious Souls is being the hands and feet of those who have been outcast.
Current Needs:
A gift of $300 will provide 17 families with Bibles and spiritual resources to grow.
$380 will purchase 10 lanterns, 10 blankets, 10 mattresses, and 25 basins for water.
Goats enable a household to get out of poverty. Each goat costs $30.
At times, a critical situation needs emergency funds. $100 will provide for the benevolent needs of a family in crisis.
Many with HIV are homeless. A gift of $1,200 will provide a modest home for the needy.
Two motorcycles are needed in order to better minister to the 550 families Precious Souls cares for. 120 of these families have children born with HIV. The cost of each motorcycle is $2,000.
Expanded housing is needed to house vulnerable families in extreme poverty, guests, and short term mission teams. This project costs $3,000.
