Providing Refuge and a Launchpad
God is moving through Renewal Project Africa, reaching people from backgrounds where following Jesus often leads to persecution. We are building a facility to provide these new believers with immediate safety while equipping them and local leaders to carry the Gospel to surrounding villages.
Our first step is securing property in Mombasa. We are raising $125,000 to establish this permanent foundation for protection and ministry training.

What is a tamarind?
Tamarind is a large, drought resistant tree the provides refreshment and community for people in Africa, Asia, and South America. In the midst of war-torn South Sudan, hundreds of people can be found gathering under for shelter from the heat. In rural India or tropical Belize, the tamarind draws people together. It’s not uncommon for people to gather for prayer and worship under the majesty of her leaves.
Why the name tamarind?
The tamarind is a metaphor for people in needy areas of the world gathering to be refreshed and equipped by the Lord in order to face the challenges of advancing the kingdom.
Tamarind, Inc is a nonprofit called to resource and support the work of Jesus Christ around the globe. Specifically, Tamarind exists to raise awareness, financial resources, and prayer for ministries among the poor, unreached, and urban metropolitan centers of influence. The vision is to collaborate with individuals who want to financially contribute to advancing global mission causes.
